What should I expect during my dental implant appointment?
The process of placing implants usually requires more than one sitting. In your first visit, Dr. Basu will be using the very latest in imaging technology to make impressions of your jaws. This is done using the very latest 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
This data is then used by Dr. Basu to chart out a treatment plan for the implant placement and spacing with her highly experienced team of implantologist.
After implant placement, the bone is allowed to heal for it to integrate with the implant. Depending on the type of implant placed and bone condition, some implants require additional wait period to get the final crown cemented. During this period, we provide temporary crowns, till your bone heals completely. The final dental crowns are are custom designed using state of the art technology and placed on the implant. How long will my dental implants last?
Once the implant placement procedure is completed, Dr. Basu will explain you in detail how to take proper care of your new teeth.
