How long does it take to get a dental crown fixed & is it painful?
This procedure of fixing dental crowns/caps usually requires two sittings. However we also provide “same day crowns” service as well, for some cases.
The first sitting comprises of cleaning and shaping of the teeth followed by multiple impressions (measurements) and shade selection for the final crown. We then provide you with a temporary crown till the final crown is received from our dental lab.
Thereafter you are called in for your second appointment, where in we check the fit of the shade of the porcelain crown and also check the bite. We then proceed with the final cementation of the crown with a permanent adhesive.
To make sure you get the best value of your time and money invested, you will receive dental hygiene instructions and be encouraged to follow routine check ups to maintain the health of your natural teeth and the restorations received. Dental crowns of superior quality can last you more than 15 years if taken care of by following your dentist advice.
