Unlike most orthodontists, Dr. Basu received comprehensive training in the field of cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation under the mentorship of Dr. Samir Basu (one of the stalwarts of Indian dentistry) for two years. Concurrently she also received her fellowship in Full Mouth Rehabilitation (FMR) also known as Smile design and since then has been restoring smiles as an accomplished cosmetic dentist.

She then went on to get her specialist training as an orthodontist and has been lucky to be trained and mentored in the field of Invisible braces treatment by international leaders like Dr. Kenneth Lew, Dr. Donna Galante and Dr. Willy Dayan.

This led to the concept of “SAF-e Smiles”, wherein Dr. Basu customizes a tailor made treatment plan for her patients by combining her expertise in face driven orthodontics with digital smile design techniques.
